“Our aim for the new Piccadilly/Key 103 studios at Castle Quay was to make it fit the image of what you’d expect the biggest station outside London to look like. Eddie Veale and his team met that brief 1000%!! In the first month alone, over 3,000 people have toured the station – it was that much of a talking point in Manchester and within the Radio Industry.”
“The sheer size of the project is probably unprecedented in that Castle Quay is also now the HQ of EMAP Radio. As well as two radio stations, this has had considerable IT ramifications and I am grateful to Eddie in that not a second of broadcast time was lost in the changeover.”
Dave Lincoln, Managing Director, Piccadilly Radio
“In creating what many consider to be some of the nicest studios in London out of an empty office floor, Eddie Veale and his team have a project to be proud of. To have achieved this in four weeks is nothing short of remarkable. Many other companies thought our timing (and budgets) were unrealistic – Veale Associates proved otherwise.”
David Campbell, Chief Executive, Virgin Radio
“Veale Associates were the natural choice to oversee our studio and office construction. Their expertise in negotiating leases and contracts, combined with their independence, attention to detail and ability to understand client needs, was invaluable. The project, as always, was delivered on time with the minimum of fuss.”
Michael Betton, Managing Director, Lincs FM

Derek Meredith, UK Terminal Director, Eurotunnel, Folkestone
“When Eddie Veale designs you a studio, you know it’s going to work. The Veale team was efficient and well-managed. We were totally happy with everything they did.”
Martin Charman, Chief Engineer, London Jazz FM
“Eddie Veale is great at designing and building studios – but he does a lot more than that. I’ve used his services to manage three projects. Every one of them has been completed on time, within budget and with no hassle.”
David Lucas, Chief Executive, Ocean Sound
“We use Veale Associates for all our studio design… Another vital factor in these days of tight budgets is Eddie’s ability to be able to design studios to suit your budget and, even more importantly, stay within it… I would unhesitatingly recommend their services to anyone needing studios.”
Don Scott, Chief Engineer, Essex Radio Group
“With Eddie Veale at the helm of the project, I never had a single doubt that the tight schedule was achievable.”
Val Handley, Star FM
“Veale Associates achieved everything I could wish for. Eddie Veale managed the whole team of workers, from those building the studios to those organising the signs on the front of the building. The building work was finished ahead of schedule and in budget too. I could not have had a better person in charge. How anyone can build a radio station without Eddie Veale, I’ll never know.”
Guy Hornsby, Managing Director, Kiss 102 and Kiss 105, Manchester & Leeds

He loved the sound of those rooms … and several engineers in later life have told me they were the best sounding rooms ever … especially Studio 2 with the MCI in it. You did a magnificent job! Thank you.

“Veale Associates understood the University’s ambitions from day one, whilst appreciating the constraints on cost and time. They brought a wealth of industry and higher education experience to the project. The concept was to deliver not only first class education facilities from the visual perspective, but studios fully equipped to deliver the key learning objectives whilst achieving the acoustic and technical criteria necessary for studios of this type. We couldn’t have done this without the professional and creative input from Veale’s leading people Eddie, Eloise and Richard. The outcome is visually stunning, well equipped functional facilities that fully meet the project brief delivered to quality, time and cost.”

“Veale Associates helped us create a truly extraordinary working environment. Our audio design rooms – of which there are 10+, are super creative spaces in which to work. They helped us achieve the perfect compromise of very low ambient noise and reflection levels while retaining generous natural light with exterior aspect. These are the perfect day to day rooms to work in. Our two 7.1 mix rooms are excellent professionally designed and calibrated reference spaces. They allow us to mix our games with the highest accuracy. Customisable colour ambient lighting allows us to set the appropriate mood for a mix session and the space feels very comfortable to be in for long sessions. Both our foley and vocal recording and control rooms are well appointed and beautifully quiet spaces to record in. Overall we are absolutely delighted with the job Veale Associates did for us!”
